The winning proposals of the 1st annual CTP Art Wall international competition were announced on June 20th, 2017 in the Manes Gallery in Prague. A jury of experts from CTP, CBRE and others chose the submissions by artists DZIA from Belgium and Michal Škapa alias TRON, as the winners for CTPark Humpolec and CTPark Prague Airport, respectively. The artworks will be implemented on the selected CTPark walls in the following months, creating a unique outdoor art gallery. Each of the winning artists received a financial reward of 100,000 CZK.
“I am really pleased that the first year of our competition was so successful. All the designs I’ve had a chance to see were an example of the creativity and fantasy of a variety of artists. I believe that the works of art will be positively perceived, and we will see even more talented people in next year’s competition,” says Remon Vos, CTP CEO.
The international CTP Art Wall competition was attended by nearly 40 artists, illustrators and graphic designers from different European countries.
The main goal of the project is to improve the public space and to “embellish” the industrial and logistics halls, not only in the Czech Republic, but in the future also in other Central and Eastern European countries where CTP operates. This year, CTP will offer artists more than 6,500 m2 of space.
